You Think He Will?
Desperate times call for desperate measures. But after reading this news, I'm not so sure whether is it just desperate measures or plain stupidity on West Ham's part.
According to The People, Australian international, Lucre Neill can get to keep his £70,000 a week wages if he decides to stay on with West Ham next season, knowing very well that Championship football beckons.
No doubt he's had a pretty good World Cup campaign and a decent and capable defender. But offering him THAT sort of money is really kind of silly.
Finance aside, who think Neill will choose to stay on with West Ham? I for one think he's gonna stay and grab as much lucres as possible before jumping ship. And the clear winner here is without a doubt, Neill.
And West Ham being the loser, paying someone with non-existent loyalty 70 grands a week. Great job!

well Chelski used alot of money, but they used it to great effect, with a masterplan. West Ham is just throwing money everywhere, hoping that it can help them win a couple games... like the old Chinese saying "Head-less Fly".
O well, i just hope Liverpool snaps up a couple of their promising youngsters when they relegate, I would personally like Anton Ferdinand, he might be a liability this season, but hes still a great prospect, probably an English International prospect as well...
well with that said, we arent desperate for any more squad members, we got almost everything but a Goal machine and better wingers. Almost perfect, almost...
ooo, i forgot to say this, but arent we glad we got Arbeloa instead of LuCash Neill? we got a young superstar-marker in the making! could we have beaten Barca with Lucash instead? hmmm...
Anton Ferdinand? You sure? Heard of the news of him lying to the club, telling them he went to visit his sick grandma but in actual fact he was partying away in the States.
I think one of the catalyst of WH's downfall this season is the fact that they have players like Anton, who think they've made it and start acting like jonny big bananas.
Couldn't give two toss about the club, not someone I'll want at Liverpool. If you ask me to pick 1 WH player, it's deffo Tevez.
From what i hear from u, Anton Ferdinand sounds bad. Well since i never saw much from him, i guess u are right then. Dont really think we need another CB, coz Agger is getting better and better.
I totally forgot about Tevez! well i read somewhere saying we struck a permanent deal for Masherano although im pretty sure we got him on a long loan. Maybe we could strike a double deal including Tevez as well, by buying out that contract. O well... lets hope Rafa works his usual magic in the summer transfer market.
It saddens me as an Australian to see the innuendo being thrown in Lucas Neill's direction. All his own doing mind you.
Lucas has shown great loyalty when it came to both the Australian and Blackburn teams. (Even after wanting a transfer out of Rovers, he still "put in" and wore the armband with distinction) It's unfortunate his decision to go to West Ham has tarnished his reputation.
And don't forget Psychohare that it was Arbeloa that played Gudjohnson (sp?) onside at Anfield ...
He is indeed a competent defender back when he's at Blackburn (also having a habit of breaking Liverpool player's legs). With him turning us down might be a blessing in disguise.
Yes, Arbeloa had a hand on that Gudjohnsen's goal and also that Deco's goal when he drifted into the middle at the wrong time.
But imagine trying to fit in to the defensive unit just for this game. You can excuse him for the lack of understanding and communication with the rest of the team mate as he's still new.
Judge him not on one or two games. I remember Josemi looked good, no?
Just like it is silly to condemn a player after a couple of games, the same can be said for praising a player in the same time period.
To say ... "but arent we glad we got Arbeloa instead of LuCash Neill?" is a tad premature don't you think?
