I know I'm seldom a whiny person that goes around complaining what people say but it's just going worst. It's getting on my nerves.
Maybe jealous, maybe a little sour grapes. But Real Madrid legend, has came out blasting Jose Mourinho and Rafa Benitez for their team's extremely boring game at Anfield last week.
But I personally thought it was uncalled for and the man clearly doesn't understand that football is no longer what he think it is now.
Yes, we all could tell that it wasn't the best game on TV all season long and when Chelsea drew Liverpool, everyone probably went 'oh no not again'. It was a game of two extremely organised and disciplined side, going head to head and it was about finding the right opportunity, pouncing on opposition's mistake and punish them.
But how insulting it is to go on and say the Anfield crowd will probably cheer even if a stick with a sh*t hanging out of it? He probably needs to come down to Anfield to actually experience it himself or he's just outside looking in.
Does he not know what is the passion of football all about? Does he think that football is all about skills, flicks and tricks? Absolutely not.
Because we know in this age, money has flooded into the game and the financial implication of a loss in cup games is a huge undertaking for clubs, especially at the top level. Losing is probably never an option so teams set out to try and not lose games. It's understandable.
In Europe, you can risk and play football the 'beautiful' way and get punished. How many teams can tell you that? Ultimately, people remembers the winners, not the losers. Barcelona plays better football than Liverpool to be honest, but it's the result that matter at the end of it.
And this is of course, out of the mouth of a sporting director of Real Madrid, of all places. They've tried to build the 'galaticos' and play beautiful football but how the mighty have fallen. When was the last time they won the league 'beautifully' with all the money spent?
I'm no preacher of the negative direct football of both Jose and Rafa but I don't think anyone has the right to criticise a certain style. Formations and tactics move on with times and we no longer see the 3-4 forwards, which was commonly used back in the 60s.
We've got to understand that football tactics have evolved and with so much at stake, it's understandable as to why certain managers are more careful with their formations. As cliche as it sounds, a team usually is a the direct representation of their manager. So why is it wrong?
And the last part of it was the worst when it became a personal attack on both Jose and Rafa. He mentioned as to how both of them failed to make it big in football, as if ridiculing them for not being able to make it as footballer while he himself is a World Cup winner.
Thing is, winning you the World Cup doesn't give you the right to have a right pop at people with their style.
Probably yes, their failure previously made them who they are. But I do not think he is in any position to criticise how people should and should not deal with their team. I do not love Jose and I do not really want to defend a t**t but there's always a bigger one out there.
Yes, it's hard to watch. But welcome to 2007, where every win matters and every lost is probably something more. And I for one, can't stand what he said about our fans. We have the right to sing and be passionate about so why take it away from us?
Saying that is questioning the intelligence of the fans. We do not need some obnoxious, ignorant, self righteous and high on pedestal person to preach to us how to play football.
I hope that keeps his mouth shut, World Cup winner. But hey, even Kleberson is one!
I love Jose Mourinho when he shut his gob and does his job. I was even a little sympathetic with him back then when Chelsea were going through some tough times (very minor ones, mind) and he looked really shabby.
But here comes the return of the 'Special One'.
Can't accept the fact that Man United are 9 points ahead of his beloved Blues and deservedly, he came out calling United lucky and are fortunate to be ahead of Chelsea.
Now that's what I call a perfect example of a pot calling the kettle black. Or to put in context, hypocritical. Because I believe that the Chelsea that have won the title for the past 2 consecutive seasons are in no way different from what United are in now.
He mentioned "This is a season in which United have had no injuries and every player is fine to play."
These words coming out of the man who manages a team that seldom gets any sort of major injuries and had all the resources in the world to put things right. No Drogba? Then there's the 30 million Shevchenko. No Lampard? There's always Michael Ballack.
I think Chelsea have been extremely fortunate for the past two seasons in terms of injuries and we're only focusing on injuries. Only in recent times we saw John Terry getting a little injury prone and Cech suffering that horrific head injury. But for the last two seasons, they don't have any major injury that are able to derail them from the title chase.
United themselves are fortunate as well, but not as what we all made them of. They do have some players like Smith and Solksjaer who are victims of long term injury earlier this season and Saha who is in and out of the team faster than the speed of sound (not very fast, but still...).
I wouldn't go on about his mentioning of the Lille and Fulham game where United didn't looked deserving but got their wins because I'm someone who doesn't believe in what a team 'deserves' but you get what you work for. You grind out wins when things are going tough and call it day light robbery, it's the points that matter.
The point of the game is to put the ball in the net, score the goals, defend well and with a bit of luck, you'll be off to the Premiership crown. Man United have proved to us that without their top scorer, van Nistelrooy, they could handle it and boy, did they do it in some style.
Goal scorers in every position especially so from the flanks. Ronaldo have been by far, the best player in the Premiership while Giggs seemed to have found his hunger for the game and although he doesn't possess the speed in which he terrorises opponent's defence, his football intelligence and experience are invaluable. Vice versa for a certain Paul Scholes in the middle of the park.
They defence have been solid this season with van der Saar adding experience in the back line and the addition of Nemanja Vidic proved to be vital. Even the requisition of Henrik Larsson is said to be a masterstroke from Sir Alex.
Sir Alex himself also found the hunger and desire to 'knock Chelsea off the f**king perch', the same motivation for him to do what he did to Liverpool back in early 90s.
Luck is something that is hard to define. But I think fortune favours the brave and you reap what you sow. United have been by far the best team in the league and nobody could doubt that.
You could see the hunger in the team and the desire to bring the title back to Old Trafford. From the very start, the game in which they mercilessly killed Fulham off in 20 minutes, I kind of knew where the title will be going. Not Stamford Bridge, not Emirates, not Anfield.
Teams that won cups and trophies over the years shows that there are many factors contributing to their victories and luck is certainly within consideration, albeit only a small portion in my opinion. The best team might not win but at the end of the day, it's the result that counts.
So, Jose, just admit it. They're destined for the Premiership and nobody are going to stop them. They have been steamrolling teams from day one and played fantastic football at times. Time to be gracious in defeat.

Title Race Back?
First of all, by putting that title don't suggest that I believe all the SkySports hype and Arsene Wenger's post match interview about how they helped everyone back into the title race. I personally think that the result on Sunday is one that many neutral fans are split into groups. One believing that we're still in it while the other group think it's beyond us.
It can be put in many perspective. Mine is that a United win was for our own good because it looked damn likely that United will win it and it's only a matter of time. So rather, we want them to kick Arsenal off our back. But then with that Arsenal win, suddenly the title race looked to be opened up once again.
I'm not sounding like a defeatist but rather, realistically, I don't see how ManYoo can be able to drop so many points in the coming few matches. They have been on a roll and must count themselves really unlucky to lose at the Emirates. They're very lucky with injuries, winning when not playing very well and for much of the season, showed more hunger than any team in the league. So to throw away the lead now is just plain unthinkable. Losing the title now will have to be the biggest screw up in football history after Drogba and Ballack's freekick.
But then looking at another perspective, football is sometimes, or most of the time, without logic. It just defies common sense and things just happened, like that. I'm no fortune teller but it'll take some mental strength and character to recover from that defeat at Arsenal. They might feel unjust and then blow it. Who knows?
But I still believe the title is theirs for the taking and still theirs to lose. They're still in the driving seat and with Chelsea falling as quickly as someone touches Robben, they could still walk away with it.
Bringing the 'Good Cup Team' Attitude Into Premiership
For the last 3 years under Rafa Benitez, Liverpool have been rather unfairly named as a good 'cup team' due to our luck in recent cups like the Champions League and the FA Cup. We have always gone into those cup games with the correct mentality and attitude, which ultimately ensured victory. Even against all the odds, we beat the likes of Juventus, Chelsea and ManYoo in recent times to go on and lift the trophy.
But in the league, there have been times we've been found wanting especially earlier this season when our league form is bordering horrendous. We dropped so many points away from home and the players all looked disinterested, jaded and lacked confidence. But once they got into gear, they managed to steamroll past most of the teams in the league lately. How is it imaginable that it was November when our goal difference was 0 and now it stands +21.
The spirit is back and the belief is instilled due to some good performance. And with that sort of confidence and belief, we welcomed Chelsea into our den and gave them a teaching. Watch the game again, then go back and watch those gutless defeat to United, Arse and Chelsea earlier in the season. What do you see?
We have been far too conservative at times till we looked like we're there just for the taking. We looked frail, weak and there wasn't a single sign of fighting spirit. We surrendered meekly and nobody gave a damn about it. Then rewind it forward to the Chelsea game. We started off at a fast pace, close down the space well and came out with belief. The 11 players looked fearless, without a doubt that they'll win the game. They treated it like a cup final game (except it didn't end up 3-3).
If we can play against the top teams with that sort of attitude and mentality, we will do well. That is the thing I'm looking for in the players in the following months to come with huge games coming. We cannot afford to feel inferior anymore. We're Liverpool after all.
"Bye Bye Mourinho!"
The whole of Anfield chants. I dislike the Portugese for some of his antics. But lately, he seemed to have mellowed down, humbled and during the post match interview, he spoke sense, for the first time since he took over. He sounded like he surrendered it. And when the self proclaimed Special One said he can't do much about it, you know what he meant. It was all brags, there was no Special One. He's just an egoistic manager who is now made to eat humble pie after years of being at the top. Now he know how it feels to fall back down to earth and have a taste of reality.
I'm not gloating. I'll like him to stay in the Premiership for the entertainment factor. He has been charismatic at times, charming and added colours in a rather dull league. Without him, you'll still hear Wenger vs Fergie every single week. How boring!
Admittedly, he made mistakes. The biggest one being his speech about the 'untouchables' recently. I've pointed out few weeks back in my post about how that speech might come back and haunt him and I think I'm right. Now the Chelsea squad looked disorganised, disinterested and disintegrated. Not all his fault though. We all know who's behind it.
"I didn't Join West Ham For $$$$$"
Guess who? Yes, the one who has been linked with us for the past half a year, Lucas Neill. In case you didn't know, he joined the Hammers without making much of a ripple in the football world due to concentration on the so called 'Grand Slam Weekend'.
He went on to explain how he didn't join WHU for the money...blah blah...like who listens? I didn't bother reading the article past line 2.
Footballer Jailed
Barrow defender James Cotterill was sentenced to four months in prison yesterday for breaking an opponent's jaw during an FA Cup match. He is one of the more recent footballer to have been jailed and honestly, it was a disgusting act and he ought to be punished for that.
And read this part: "Half an hour into the game Cotterill fractured Rigg's jaw in two places with a left-hook, Preston Crown Court heard. It must be held together with metal plates for the rest of his life."
You just destroyed someone's life, mate.
Poor Old Jose
Rumours have been flying round faster than Ronaldo doing his side steps that Jose Mourinho is unhappy with the board and he's of course, under intense pressure after seeing his 300million side held by Wycombe Wanderers.
I have mentioned before, that his idea of the 'untouchables' might turn out to be the his ultimate downfall and I could see it happening now. He look likely to leave in the summer, for which I'm pretty sure.
The board is in a mess and you don't really know who's in charge of Chelsea anyway. Who buy the players and who picked Ballack & Sheva? It's like two huge egos going against each other in that Portugese schemer and that once a red always a red Peter Kenyon.
Downfall, surely?
Chelsea Screaming 'Blue' Murder
As I've covered previously, the injury caused by Reading on Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini are already blown out of porportion with Chelsea insisting on some issues like the ambulance who came late and the report they wanted to send to the FA regarding their 'treatment'. What a farce. An unfortunate incident turned into an oppotunity for Jose Mourinho & co. to whine about how everyone hates them and their self-pity on the news conference were there for everyone to see. 'Oh the ambulance team hates us and the referee hates us'.
It came just at a nice time when Chelsea are about to play their toughest fixture thus far against regining European champions, Barcelona and will be without the two keepers. So in an attempt to deflect all the pressure, Jose used this opportunity to incite the feelings of the Chelsea fans and also leaving a back door for himself if they fail to beat Barcelona this time round.
It's just ridiculous and farcical. I don't know what's the deal with those words he said about the ambulance coming late and stuff. If he is well and truly lying, then I think he's the saddest man on earth. An attention seeking manager who wants all the eyes to be fixed on him.
What about the report that they will be handling to the FA after the Barcelona game? It's just so Chelsea that when things don't go their way, they'll make a mountain out of a molehill. Firstly, they'll question the decision of the referee over the two challenges that injured Cech and Cudicini. From THEIR point of view, of course they're blinkered and think that it was on purpose and everyone hates them.
The man who cried wolf over and over again for the past few years, do you still believe his stories? After the incident involving the referee that had to retire after being accused by Jose, I think most football fans just takes him as a wind up merchant and attention seeking wh*re. I can't wait to see that the FA proved that everything he said were lies and how he'll then react.
Henry's 'Hand Ball'
If UEFA or FIFA needs a more concrete evidence for introducing video technology into the game of football, then last night will be the case. From what I saw, there's no way Theirry Henry could've handled the ball and scored the equaliser. But the referee saw what we all didn't and can't see as he awarded CSKA Moscow a free kick, disallowed the Henry goal and wait for it, giving Henry a yellow card!
I'm still not quite sure how video technology could be implemented, but if you guys wanna share your views, you're welcomed and I might do a post on this after I've thought through the possibilities and done some studies on video refereeing.
