More On The Kuyt...

Please Pronounce 'KOWT'

Holland international Dirk Kuyt tonight revealed he believes a move to a Barclays Premiership club is close.

Liverpool is understood to be the Feyenoord player's preferred destination, although several other clubs have been linked with the striker.

Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder was in Dublin on Wednesday to see the striker on the winning side as the Dutch won 4-0 against the Republic of Ireland.

Smiling, Kuyt told Sky Sports News: "There are a few clubs interested - but only one is my dream club.

"I don't want to say anything about that - but I think we can say more in a few days."

I personally saw the interview by SkySports abouT his move. It was after the Holland game and basically, he just smiled throughout the interview, looks very pleased. Then asked if the club he wants to go is Liverpool, he just grinned and said "we'll see, we'll see in a few days" but as the reporter pressed on, he then say "yea, you could say that".

Hope this doesn't backfire and he joins the Geordies! That would be kinda..weird you know, I'll have to eat my words then. But some reliable sources on the forums suggests that he will be unveilled on Saturday morning, before the game against Sheffield United.
