Alleluia!

And we don't have to put up with another pie-munching, gut wrenching performance from Frank Lampard, for once!

Thank the Lord for Wayne Rooney (honestly, I don't say that often). His 'one stone kill two bird' tactic worked perfectly as he did it for England and for ManYoo.

So we don't have to watch Lampard and Gerrard vying for the same 5 yard on the centre of the pitch or trying to hit the target from 40 yards out. And when England inevitably score a few and win Andorra, he don't have to take out his jersey and do his whatever chest pumping antics.

Meanwhile, great news for United as he might miss a game for Chelsea this weekend. Thing is that Chelsea's built around Lampard and they might miss his 'presence' in midfield.

Great job, Rooney. Now we can finally see how England will do without FFL.

(Gerrard unable to contain his joy after the news)

There u go, we all kinda expected it, but yea, No Lampard = England wins. With Lampard = England draws/loses, coz Lampard missed all the best chances.
I guess this game was more than enough proof... the whole country would be asking for Lampard to be dropped from now on... Lamps should be so ashamed of himself and offer Gerrard the position he deserves...

no Lampard = Gerrard scoring

hahaha, i didnt wanna state the obvious, but Lampard has been in better goalscoring form for his club than Gerrard has this season, so i dun wanna criticize him too much.
After the World Cup, u would have known... big players score in big stages, Owen did it in his first WC, Gerrard scored too... Lampard knew how to miss all the best chances in the world. oh yea! Shrek still hasnt scored for England in 3 years! England badly needs their best 2 strikers back soon (Owen + Crouch)...
atm... Rooney is overrated... he shows signs of great potential, but he lacks the maturity Ronaldo currently has, which he gained and sharpened in the WC... DAMN!

anyone saw Nugent, he couldnt stop smiling! and his mouth was slanted or something...

Final Score: Andorra 0 - 3 Scouse

Thing is we can't argue Lampard is a good goal scoring midfielder but honestly, that's about it. And when he doesn't score, he's like a white elephant. Well..not a pun intended thing regarding his weight...

But he needs players to play around him and need everyone to compliment him, which is pretty much a burden to many players.

We all know McClown won't have the balls to drop Lampard anyway. This time round it was lucky that he broke his wrist but soon, there won't be any more excuses.

or the whole breaking wrist thing was just a cover??
think he'll play for chelsea this Sat.

i think you can play with a wrist injury but depends on the manager/coach if they want to "risk" further injury. i've seen players play with bandaged/casted arms. it's the legs that do the "main" job. so if mourinho wants to play lamps he can, esp since chelsea is built around lamps so they prolly would want him playing. but mclaren maybe didn't want to risk it, or maybe he finally used his brains and used it as a cover to try out stevie in hte middle.
either way, who cares! stevie showed everyone where he belongs. now all we hope for is that mclaren recognises that.
