England's Italian fitness coach Ivan Carminati slammed Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher over his penalty miss on Saturday.

The Sun says Carminati sneered: "What a joke. Jamie Carragher is a professional football player. And as a football player you know you have to wait for the referee.

"It is the same rule in England, in Italy or anywhere else in Europe. It's the same in America or Africa - in fact everywhere."

A fitness coach to train players for penalty kicks? And after somebody misses the kick, you came out of the woodwork and blast him? I really, really don't know what's going on behind the scenes in the England training camp. Seemed like a mess to me.
