THERE YOU GO, PORTUGAL VS FRANCE PREVIEW!

Munich

PORTUGAL vs FRANCE

PORTUGAL: Portugal will be without suspended Armando Petit this time round, but Deco and Costinha should return to the starting 11 after missing out the last match against England due to, surprise, suspension. Something of note, that Portugal will have several players on yellow cards and must be careful not to pick up another, or it will yet again be suspensions to the Portugese.

Probable Line-up:

FRANCE: After defeating defending champions, Brazil , by an odd goal last week, the French would surely be te favourites for this match. Many of us, including me wrote off their chances of winning the World Cup at first, when they were really poor. But things start to pick up for the Les Bleus, who's in fine form currently, and Zidane back to nearing his best. He might be tired and exhausted from club football, but this will be his swansong and he'll no doubt put in every last ounce of energy to ensure that his departure from planet football is a glorious one. They too, will have some players on yellow card including captain Zidane.

Probable Line-up:
Drogballs' Prediction: PORTUGAL 1 - 1 FRANCE (France to win 2-1 after extra time). France vs Italy finals appeal to me more. So I'm backing the French tonight although I can already sense that it's not gonna be easy for the Les Bleus. Figo, Cronaldo and Deco are the key man and will look to run at the ageing legs of Makalele and Thuram. But I believe that the French will prevail, with Zinedine Zidane showing his class once again and becoming the difference between the 2 sides.
